Announcements

The District Steering and District Review Committees for the K-5 English Language Arts High Quality Instructional Materials Adoption presented their recommendations to the Governing Board on December 9, initiating the 60-Day Public Review. HUSD families, teachers, staff, and community members are invited to provide feedback on the committees' recommendations. Your input is valuable in this process! All materials are on display at the District Office in the Board Room for you to review. Please consult the schedule for the operating hours. The 60-Day Public Review will run through February 10, 2026. Thank you for participating! If you have any questions, please contact Mary Davis, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, at mary.davis@husd.org.

We are currently accepting applications to fill vacated seats on the Supplemental Materials Review Committee. We are seeking applications from HUSD teachers, staff, parents/legal guardians, and community members residing within the district. Committee members will meet at least three times during the spring semester in the evening. Applications will be accepted until Monday, January 23rd at 4:00 PM. Depending on the number of applicants, a blind draw will be conducted to fill the seats. All applicants will be notified of the selection outcome by Wednesday, January 28th. If you are interested in serving, please complete the application for the Supplemental Materials Review Committee. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Davis, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, at mary.davis@husd.org

The Town of Gilbert will start rehabilitating water pipes along Higley Road between Guadalupe and Ray roads on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025. Expect lane reductions, turn restrictions, and varying traffic impacts through Spring 2026. Some households may notice temporary tap water discoloration during valve closures, but water will remain safe to use. For updates or to report prolonged discoloration, visit gilbertaz.gov/cip or call (480) 503-6400. View Construction Notice.
